Default tracking down incompatible mods

I just returned to EQ2 after a year-long absence. Naturally, some of my old custom UI pieces are no longer compatible with the game now. I get error messages just after logging in saying that I'm using a UI mod that is incompatible with the new tooltip system, but the message does not tell me which mod file is actually causing the issue. Is there any way to track the "bad" mods down without removing all my mods & adding them back in one-by-one (and re-starting the game each time, yech!) to see when I get the message?

Thanks!

The name of the xml file is usually something like the name of the window, e.g. the appearance of tooltips is in the file eq2ui_TooltipStyles.xml. Did you add your mods to your favorites list here? That's the easiest way to check for updates. Otherwise, just post which windows are giving you errors and we can tell you which xml file it is.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the game does not indicate which mod is causing the problem, hence my trouble in tracking down the culprit. For instance, I logged in, opened my inventory window - I have no mod for that UI piece - moused over one of my armor pieces and got an error saying:

You are using a UI mod that does not support recent changes to the tooltip system, please upgrade or revert to the default UI.

I have the following xml files in my custom UI directory - I've noted which version whenever possible:

ButtonStyles
EM_eq2ui_mainhud_map_quests
eq2ui_ButtonStyles
eq2ui_fonts
eq2ui_hud_choice (Just Press Enter LU34+)
eq2ui_inventory_bag (Himay's bag - 6 slot 3/4 default)
eq2ui_inventory_bank
eq2ui_inventory_loot (Just Press Enter LU34+)
eq2ui_inventory_trade (Just Press Enter LU34+)
eq2ui_journals_quest (SageUI Side by Side Info Journal LU 34!)
eq2ui_mainhud_effects
eq2ui_mainhud_experience (Basic XP % Bar w/time, class and zone (Updated for...)
eq2ui_mainhud_groupmembers
eq2ui_mainhud_hotkey (Himays small hotkey)
eq2ui_inventory_lotto (Just Press Enter LU34+)
eq2ui_mainhud_maintainedeq2ui_mainhud_map (EQ2Map)
eq2ui_mainhud_player
eq2ui_inventory_tracking (Just Press Enter LU34+)
eq2ui_inventory_windowsettings (Just Press Enter LU34+)
eq2ui_popup_rewardpack (Just Press Enter LU34+)
eq2ui_popup_uisettings (Just Press Enter LU34+)
eq2ui_popup_zoneteleporter (Just Press Enter LU34+)
eq2ui_skininfo
eq2ui_textstyles
eq2ui_TooltipStyles

I've tried taking certain mods out - Bags, Bank, Player, Effects, Maintained - to see if they were the problem children, but no luck so far. I'm "favoriting" all the new mods I've downloaded for future reference, hopefully soon I'll figure out which file is the problem.

I think the problem you have is with the fonts. Try to update your fonts directory. And you dont need to restart game every time, you can use /loadui command instead to reload the interface after you changed files.

And , btw, there is a file "ui.log" in you custom interface folder, which contains error messages related to interface. It could be very useful to check this file out when something goes wrong.
