Default How will the custom UI impact performance?

Hello all - I play EQ2 on a Dell laptop that works OK, but is right at the limit for video ram and performance - will the custom UI work? Will it decrease video performance??

Thank you.

When you install a custom UI element, what you're doing, in essence, is replacing one set of instructions about how something should look onscreen with another. Even mods that add new info or adjust functionality of windows don't really affect the functionality of the game itself, and so there shouldn't be any impact whatsoever on system performance.

That depends entirely on what custom UI. Yes, some will add more textures to memory, which may or may not affect your framerate. The only way to find out whether or not a given mod will impact your framerate is to check.

I'd bet money that none of the UI mods on this site would impact performance in any noticable way
