Default WoW Inspired Player Window

Hey all,

I needed a break from working on Serenity and wanted to do somethign drasticly different. With all the talk lately about wanting more WoW styled stuff I decided to work on a player window that was in the style of WoW. This is NOT designed to be an exact emulation of WoW, but rather simply inspired by the style.

I call it Goldrush and if people like it I will work on doing other windows in the same general style.

A little more description is probably in order... oops

The small holes on the bottom of the window fill up with blu gems for a concentration indicator, and the 4 effect icons are verticly stacked to the right of the window graphic.

The portrait icon uses the ones from the official forums, and if theres interest in the window I will make up portraits from each of the ones on the forums.

It isn't QUITE done yet which is why it isn't released yet. I still need to do some background work, as well as add text to the bars. My design calls for the bars to have text overlays showing current/max values.

Verry well done mate its looking good

But imo I dont realy see the point in making a WoW UI look like a EQ2 one ...
Reason being... you can do much much more with the WoW type code etc, As what we have to work with is limited in respect of that .... But from a desigin point of view if peeps want EQ2 stuff to look like WoW then all well and good lol ....

Just my 2cents ..

Yeah i'm not trying to make a WoW UI, nor do I think its a good idea. As you said, EQ2 isn't anywhere near that flexible. WoW lets you use Lua code to actually CODE the UI.

All i'm doing is using the WoW visual style as an inspiration so to speak. That general look and feel. Thought it might appeal to some people.
