I don't see how that could be caused by this mod. I can see a potential issue where the quickbuttons for graphics settings selection no longer work; but if you change graphics settings from the Options window, you'll see performance changes: Graphical detail will appear and disappear; and rendering speed will be affected depending on the components of the PC (GPU, CPU, memory).
