Seems like I remember this being asked before, and I tried some tricks to get the Recently Crafted list to show up when you open the window. The dropdown changes, but the page does not. It requires a click of the mouse after the window has opened. This is something that the developers should be able to change, as long as the code doesn't require the entire list to be populated (the "unfiltered" setting) upon first loading up the recipe list.
