Ok, I found a workaround for those of us with multiple accounts. Open the camp window, and double click the toon you want to camp to, to start the camping process. Move to cancel it, then type "/camp login". You should be able to then camp straight from the char you're on to a char on another account without it kicking you to the char select.
I've done this multiple times with no issue. So please please can we get this as an option on the login screen? Maybe have it as another button, because i'm not sure if it would break anything to use /camp login to log into chars on the same account.
