The EQ2MAP updater will never ask for a username or password. You must be running a different file or something.
Once installed, on the first run the EQ2MAP updater will ask you for Everquest2.exe, which is the game's main executable that the updater looks for so it knows where to put the map files.
If you're following those steps and still getting a username/password prompt then post a screenshot of that prompt.
