I appreciate the prompt response and clarification. I did read the tooltip but misunderstood it's meaning thinking that you needed to select the co-ords from the list on the right. Guess I'll just stick to hunting down and double clicking the POIs on the map itself. I wouldn't even play EQ2 if it weren't for EQ2maps so I'll take whatever I can get

Edit: Double clicking the POIs or Co-ords in the results list on the right is supposed to give you a path/trail? As I've tried that as well but it's never worked for me. Only clicking them on the map itself does that for me.
