- Locate the "EQ2MAP Updater" folder in Program Files, or wherever you installed the EQ2Map Updater.
- Copy this folder to somethign like "EQ2MAP Updater EQ2X" or "EQ2XMAP Updater".
- Make a new shortcut on your desktop to the EQ2MAP_Updater.exe program in the copy you just made. Rename this shortcut to something obvious like "EQ2XMAP Updater" or "EQ2MAP Updater EQ2X".
- Run the updater using the new shortcut you just made. Cancel the auto-run of EQ2 if it's enabled. Go into Options and use the Browse buttons to change the first path (Everquest 2) to the folder you have EQ2X installed in, and the second path (Autolaunch EQ2) to the Launchpad.exe program in the EQ2X installation folder.
- Re-enable auto-launch if you wish EQ2X to auto-launch once the map updater's finished.
- Be sure to be aware of which shortcut you're using. You'll need to keep updating both copies as you run the game.
