I don't see what is so complex about Profit.. If anything, it simplifies and organizes things better. Yea there is much more info displayed versus the default but that is a good thing. Like anything else, there is a learning curve we all have to go through with something new.. When I first started playing using the default it took a bit to learn it..

I would think there would have to be an in game help area as most every app has now a days but I do believe Profit could easily be the default UI or an alternative to it (Players have a choice).
