It happens in the default UI. i think that it just doesn't happen all the time. but not sure.
... there really needs to be a global UI "refresh" built in. Whatever code initially loads the UI needs to be incorporated into said function so that it may be used when the client goes LD, or executes a /load_ui.
hard to believe after all this time, something like reloading the UI is still the longest-standing problem.
