Bumping this thread to see if anyone has seen any changes since 2007 last year. it is now 2008, and google does not offer up any information on the ability to change mouse cursors in EQ2.
Using microangelo (icon editing software) I could not find any mouse cursor icons in the EQ2 exe and any other file that has icons in the EQ2 folder either. They just have the normal EQ icon you would see on your desktop icons etc.
I went, and scoured every single .DDS file in the ui defualt folder, and none of them had the mouse pointer graphics in there. Boy, did I find a lot of pretty icons though
If anyone could help, it would be much appreciate it. Me and others would like the ability to more quickly find our moust pointers in the heat of combat among all the partical effects
Especially those of us who are playing 1920x1200 wide screen while the moust pointer doesn't scale large enough to be easily detectable.
As it is, I have to basically gyrate my mouse in any large circular pattern to get an idea where to find it on screen.
