No, sorry, I wasn't clear. What I mean is, at the moment, say you've got 10 things maintained, and the window is sized such that a single column is visible:
(X=spell icon)

X maint1
X maint2
.
.
.
X maint10

If you then widen the window to double column size, it will distribute those 10 things into 2 columns - 5 in each.

X maint1 X maint2
X maint3 X maint4
....... .........
........ .........
........ X maint10

What would be ideal is if you could make it fill one existing column to the bottom extent of the window, and only start filling a second column after the first one has no space left.

X maint2 X maint10
X maint3
.......
.......
.......
.......
X maint8

@Drumstix: I'm not sure about the default one, but this particular mod doesn't actually auto-change. It fills up the same way regardless of where it is onscreen. Left to right first, and then top to bottom, as far as directional priority of how it fills. I'm wondering if someone could change it to be top to bottom first, then left to right.

Confused? I certainly am. Hope I'm explaining this a little better...
