My comp crashed, bought a new one, had to take it with Vista
. I usually use open office, but I know that doesn't support VBA, so I downloaded the 60 day full version of MS Office (note that if you use the "trial" version that comes with your computer, you won't be able to configure the security stuff, you really need the full version) and tried running the configurator code. It is definitely Vista/2007 Excel related. If it's a security feature, I couldn't find it, I turned off all the security features and I am still getting the compile error.
