It was one of the most requested features I think. It was a lucky coincidence that SOE added the necessary data for the G15 keyboard and that Drumstix42 very recently discovered how to convert decimals to integers has become possible. Without these two things the overlay would not have been possible.
Regarding the item timers, SOE probably forgot it implement the data for those. Please /bug, that part is not caused by the UI, the actual data is coming from the server.
