Yes, that is possible, the lag would be negligable. There is a FAQ entry on how to do that.
I was eventually going to make it so. We have
Ornathian's incredible Excel table with all the spells and their levels. It's on my list to add some code to it so that you can automatically populate the quick raid buttons with an entire spell line just by clicking a button in that table. Not before February though.
