Here is the problem I have been having. The wife and I both play EQ2 but she does not like anything but the stock UI. For that install it has EQ2MAP as the UI with the game directory of D:\program files\sony\eq2\. I like Profit UI so I made another install at d:\program files\sony\eq2 profit\ with ProfitUI in the .ini.

To do an update we do the following (automatic update is off due to 2 UIs).
1. Open options
2. Verify EQ2 directory.
3. Close options.
4. Open options.
5. Pick correct UI for updating.
6+ Repeat 2-5 for other UI.

What has been happening is that if I update ProfitUI first and then the stock, it updates the correct EQ2MAP directories but in this case it would change the UI to ProfitUI on the stock .ini even though it updated the EQ2MAP as the UI. If we do stock first and then ProfitUI then the ini in the ProfitUI directory gets changed to have the UI be EQ2MAP.

When the stock gets changed to ProfitUI the game crashes because it cannot find the files for the UI. When ProfitUI gets changed it just hoses up the game window setup with stock versus custom windows.

My current fix is to have 2 copies of EQ2MAP updater installed, one for each directory.

Is there some add-on I am missing that would make it look for all the proper UIs and update them correctly without having to go through so many different steps and configurations? I tried UI switchers but that was much less reliable then just having 2 EQ2MAP updaters installed.

Thanks!
I could have sworn there was an option in EQ2map that allows you to stop it from making changes to the .ini, but I just looked for it and couldn't find it.

Besides that though, if having a version of EQ2Map in each UI directory stops the problem, then it sounds like you have it solved no?

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable then me will come along and give you better advice then I can.
