*bah, lost the original post, trying to remember it all*
Tested on my home system, first without a proxy
- Start the app. EQ2I News tab does not try to connect anywhere
- Enable eq2map and interfaces. Edit: Change UI path
- interfaces tab still tells you the wrong path in the right pane "file will be installed at" is the old path
- restarting the app sets the correct path until you change it again
- It says it will install Milquetowst InfoCenter directly into the \UI path, not in the customUI folder. When installing, it nevertheless puts it into the correct folder
- Updating a UI does not work because it stores the update files without the dot between name.ext, e.g. 4277zip insteal of 4277.zip. Tested with several UIs, same error for all of them.
- no idea what the dropdown below the auto-update UI checkbox is for, I could not get it to populate with anything
- now enabling proxy settings works for EQ2MAP tab!
- eq2i news tab still does not try to connect anywhere, neither direct nor proxy
- interfaces tab ignores proxy settings and always tries direct connect and gives error message when that is blocked
- eq2.ini received a "Modified by EQ2 Companion" line although except for that line nothing was modified.
