What he was saying is that Vista UAC only applies to specific folders, including the C:\Program Files folder. If you move your \Everquest II folder somewhere else, e.g. C:\Everquest II, you won't have all the UAC trouble.

At least that's what I think he said. I don't have Vista, so don't expect any specifics from me.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.
