Every non-pet character can put their "most important" spells/abilities on a hotbar and use keystrokes to activate them. The Pet Window has those buttons hardcoded on to it, and you are forced to waste valuable screen space with them.

You know you can drag all the pet controls to any hotbar right? That way you can use the keyboard to control your pet. Otherwise you can make macros for all your pet commands. You can change the size of the pet window... it would be really easy to make the default window only show the name, health, and power without the icons. For my coercer I have the pet window directly above my hotbars so I can press the buttons easily with the mouse.

Also, the default pet window has only a bar---it doesn't even have %, much less an actual HP count.

The default player and target windows don't have % or numbers so this all has a matching look. I honestly don't look at any health or power numbers during a fight unless I'm completely out of power and I'm just trying to get one more CA or spell off, but those aren't hard to add to custom UI windows.

The worst part for me is all the spell info for each target / implied target. Don't get me wrong--I love it. But it makes different levels of enemy a different size, and that keeps the window from appearing properly to me.

I'm not sure I understand you here. Which style of target are you using?

And maybe some kind of "arcane / elemental" indicator to lemme know if I need to cure my pet.

Sorry this information isn't available in the dynamic data. You'll just have to target your pet and look closely at the spell effect icons.
If you're looking for something specific it's best to ask for something specific. I don't play any summoners myself, but if we just try to guess what you're looking for we'll probably guess wrong.
