Tried to go back in and get screenies for ya, but found that, if you find another key, you are unable to use it. There was no in-game message about an event timer or anything, so I don't know if this is a bug or what. Anyway, like you said, it is only a one-room location, unless they plan on doing saomething with that door in the future.
