Rabid? I've not seen anyone rabid. I've seen people enjoying a UI. It works for me. I like it. I've tried all the other "big name" UI's and they don't work like I like. Zonx's does. Why spend time helping another author do what Zonx already does?

FETISH HASN'T BEEN UPDATED FOR THE LAST 10% OF EQ2'S TOTAL LIFESPAN!!!

And unlike many authors, Zonx had an update that day or the next day for his UI for MANY of the patches that came out.

Zonx wants to be paid? WTF does Linus Torvalds get paid for the Linux Kernel? Who on earth would develop an EQ2 interface FOR PROFIT? Zonx, you need a reality check. Millions of programmers write code, which is significantly more difficult then editing XML i might add, AND GIVE IT AWAY. Moreover, THEY FIX BUGS AND ADD NEW FEATURES REGULARLY. Even Microsoft GIVES away versions of it Software.

While many do that as you say, most of them have a business plan intent on getting people to use the product so they can get dollars later. Even my company does it. It's called a loss leader. We want your business. Linus Torvalds has receive money for his work. Linus has asked for donations. Linus licensed his work so others could carry it out. You don't have to do that. You can build upon Zonx's work now if you like. That unfortunately isn't what you are complaining about. You are complaining because ZONX's hasn't done the work. I imagine if you treated Linus that way, Linux would have been a whole different product.

Zonx isn't doing this for profit. I don't believe he has any illusions that he will be able to quit his job and do this full time. He is asking for donations for the thousands of hours of work he has put into this interface over the course of a year. He's not demanding it. A donation is not necessarily profit. He is also not holding any of us hostage. He will release an update when he's ready to. I wouldn't be surprised after your wonderful bitter backbiting post that he tells us all that it's the last one. Wouldn't blame him if he did.

When I see people like Torvalds who give away massively complicated peices of software for free and then see Zonx complain when people are upset that this abandoned UI hasn't been updated for 10% of EQ2's life cycle, I really see the true underlying arrogance he has. If you want to profit, if you think

You think Torvalds was burned in effigy because the latest version of Linux didn't come out when users thought it should? I doubt it. Most linux users are a grateful bunch. Zonx had every right to complain. He's doing something for free for us and people are harassing him about it. Look up the word donation. You seem to think it's a fee.

I, for one, refuse to lick the jack boots of a guy trying to profit off of someone elses' creation. I'm sure SOE wouldn't be to happy if you made Fetish pay to play, would they? And I'm guessing that's why he uses the term "donation" instead of fee, to prevent the lawyers from running him down. So if you guys want to continue kissing up just to have a chance at getting fetish back, so be it. Congratulations, you're weak.

It's an add-on for their program. I don't think they have a leg to stand on if he did. While it's their program, he's still developing an add-on. If this were the way business was run, Norton couldn't have sold all those AVP's to be run on Windows. Kissing up? Please. I'm using Fetish with no problems. You act like we are desperate for a fix. We aren't. Why? Because nothing was game-breaking like he said. Didn't feel insulted in the least when he said it. He's right and right is right. Later troll.

Please... if anyone else wants to come in here and harass us and Zonx about a UI they apparently have no love for, save yourself time. We really don't care.
