Nothing has helped. I've been playing without these features for about a month now (though I play only about a day a week). Deleted specific files and used "Re-Download All Files" without help.
Edit:
I changed the map UI in eq2.ini to the default, then returned it to EQ2MAP, and now things work well. Wonders of the world.
