There are 2 things about the chat window since LU15 that I don't like. The first is pressing ESC causes it to remove everything you've typed. I was used to typing something, pressing ESC, adjusting the direction I was running, then going back to what I was typing. I can't do that now.

Additionally, when I had a window over the chat window (like the market window) and I clicked in the chat window, it would move the chat window to the foreground in front of whatever window was in the way so i could see what I was typing and receiving. That no longer happens. All other windows will go over another window (like Inventory over Market and vice versa), but the chat window is always in the background no matter what.

Can either of these 2 things be changed via a mod or is this server side coded? I'm guessing that since the default mainchat.xml file hasn't changed since 9/13 and this problem started on LU15 (which means whatever Sony changed it wasn't via the XML file) we aren't able to do these kind of changes from our side. However, I thought I'd ask anyhow so those much more knowledgable than me could confirm.

For now it's a pain to browse the market because I have to keep closing the market window to review and respond to chat/tells.. then reopen the market window and redo my search.
