After running patcher for eq2maps download the latest version of extreme ui copy the eq2_mainhud_map.xml from the zip file to the extreme directory. This should fix your dorky map. Also there are drop downs on the bottom if it looks like you are in wrong spot on map you can change your location. IE it's saying your in freeport but your are in qeynos. As for your quest you explained alot of unnecessary info but left out most of the relative facts. What exactly was the problem? I'm just taking a wild guess but perhaps the quest reward window did not open up for you?
