Tried to use it once I got home from work, still halts at 86%. Arggh what a pain it is to play without the maps!
I'm out of ideas on what else to try. Spoke to my guildies and they have no problems whatsoever with updating. So I guess its a local problem that I have to figure out.
the maps are supposed to be at:
D:\Everquest II\UI\EQ2MAP (which is the dir I use)
And the EQ2.ini should look like:
cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
cl_ui_subdir UI/
Thats all that should affect the maper right? Nothing is write protected and I put everyone to full access to the EQ2 folder (not inheriting any access from higher directories)

Tried using the updater for the test server, and that also halts on 86%, and I've never ever connected to the test server nor have I installed any UI or anything at all to that folder that contains the test server files.

Tried using /setupdatefolder and chose a empty folder to update into. But it still freeze at 86% on the icons_blackburrow_2.xml
