Profit Ui Updater Question
 

Hey guys, great work on the UI and the updates for the new expansion. I was up and running the day of. Had some issues with it keeping my hotkeys and all, but was easily fixed.

I have a quick question. I rebuilt my machine (new board, cpu, ram) and copied my install of EQ to another drive, formatted and reinstalled EQ2, then copied everything over. I copied over the EQ2 maps folder itself, but forgot the profit UI updater folder. So i reinstalled it (mind you my Profit is updated everyday when i log in). However, now when i use the updater, it says everything is up to date, but it asks me to check Ignored files, so i open it up and see like TONS of files.

Did i miss something with the reinstall of Profit UI updater? Any thoughts? Im sure you have updated the UI in the past 2 days?

if everything is white you're ok, if its red, then you have an issue

do you mean white in the ignore list?

I havent seen any updates the past few days....anyone remember the last time there was a update on it?

I was looking at it today and when i opened it it said UPDATE NOW on the button but nothing in the list to update.

No, there haven't.

I think if the list is empty but it says update now that means that one of the window variants you have selected got updated. Just hit the update button, should be ok then.

Updated variants also get displayed on the update list, since they get removed internally from the ignore list.

If it asks you to check your ignored files every time you start it up, something is wrong with the settings file. If you copied over your whole installation including the %appdata% dirs please check if %appdata%\ProfitUI Reborn Downloader\ is not write protected. This sometime happens if you copy over files from a read only memory like DVDs or can happen, because you now have another User ID (even if you use the same account name) on your system.

Please try to delete %appdata%\ProfitUI Reborn Downloader\. Next time you start the downloader, it will go back to default settings and things should work again from there...

thanks for the input gm9, i removed the folder from my Application folder and will try it again and see. Will let you know shortly.

ok, i think i got it now....says exit instead of Update now.

I went and redid the path to everquest 2 folder and let it start over.

I was just noticing something in game, but my bags are resetting when it comes to location, i lock it where i want it then open it again, they move back to original spots.
