Hmm, doesn't look expansion-related, that error is generally caused by some other process (for example, EQ2) running at the same time and so preventing the updater from accessing the file.

Same error here. no other programs running

Try un-installing eq2map and using the new patcher/updater and see what it says?

Yep did that. first time installing it. (been gone for a year) did get the newest one and thats the error generated. Just tried again to make sure but no dice

Map Updater problem after loading Kunark expansion
 

I had to completely remove my existing EQ2 game to install the new expansion (with all the previous expansions and ad packs included). SO I reinstalled the new EQ2 Map Updater. I also copied my custom UI to the desktop and then dropped it back in the Everquest folder after installing the new expansion version. I ran the updater before I tried to log into the game, and before any patches started, and it ran just fine.. installed all those maps and stuff again just fine. Not sure what will happens when the patcher quits re-loading all those patch updates, but had no trouble at the start.
