error updating
Hey folks, sry if this has been posted b4, had a look and seen some similar but none, that helped.
First I had a zone vrash last night and haven't been able to login since, either with or without eq2map. I have run a full scan on eq2 but it updates nothing and still only gets to character select, when I select a character and click play in hangs. When trying to load through eq2map it gets to the second bar and I get this : Unknown Error: mscorlib at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String str) at System.IO.FileStream.ReadCore(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 count) at System.IO.FileStream.Read(Byte[] array, Int32 offset, Int32 count) at System.Security.Cryptography.HashAlgorithm.ComputeHash(Stream inputStream) at WindowsApplication7.Form1.GetFileMD5(String FilePath) at WindowsApplication7.Form1.DownloadExtras() at WindowsApplication7.Form1.DoUpdates() at WindowsApplication7.Form1.Timer3_Tick(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr idEvent, IntPtr dwTime)Data error (cyclic redundancy check). I have tried re-installing eq2map, repaired .net 3&2 and re-installed 1. I have also re-started the computer several time during these steps. any help is greatly appreciated Cheers Oxydin *Update* After deleting everything to do with my characters from the eq2 dir. , I am now back in game, the map still works(phew) but wont auto update, so I turned this off and will update manually. |
Reinstall the auto updater.
Sounds like when you crashed some files got corrupted... cyclic redundency check failing means that a file is corrupted. |
