New Updater 1.08 wont update anything.
 

Previous version was working fine. 4-5 days ago it gave me "new version available" message, I updated, restarted Updater and now its just shows me "checking for updated files" message forever. No progression at all. All filepatches are same as before too.
Uninstalled Updater and installed 1.07 version what's available in website and again same happened. Updater updated itself and basically freezing in "checking for updated files" point.
Any suggestions?

1.08 works fine on my computer. Maybe you should check out your firewall/anti-virus software or proxy server settings. :)

You may want to delete your settings file and check if that helps. Go to %appdata% (Start -> Run ...) and delete 'ProfitUI Reborn Downloader' directory after you did the update to 1.08. It will be recreated automatically the next time the application starts.

Yes, firewall is ok and proxy settings too. Deleted settings folder and after set up proxy addess again now this updater will ask me every time where is EQ2 directory. I choose it again under settings -> filepaths and its stays on "checking for updates files" forever. If i close program and rerun it, its asking that eq2 directory again. So looks like its not saving this, just freezing in "checking files" point. My firewall shows zero traffic from Updater.

It would not even start up if it is not able to pull the file hashes from the server, so its not a connection issue.
You have a serious problem with your settings file, no idea how to resolve that. You did delete the folder in %appdata% and not the one in the programs' directory?

Yep, deleted it. After that Updater was asking proxy settings, gave those and program started, asked EQ2 location (its not in default location in C drive), inserted EQ2 location... and thats all. It acts like i described before. :(

Tried delete absolutely all Updater stuff, installed 1.07 what found a lot new updated fails and installed those without problems. Just there isnt options choose gruop, raid and so on... windows appearance via menu. Started Updater again, let it update itself and it freezes like before.

I uploaded 1.08 on this site yesterday, maybe download that in case something goes wrong when the updater updates itself. Worth a try at least I guess.

Actually I can confirm this, proxy support seems to have issues in 1.08, when you go through a proxy it hangs at "checking for updated files". Without a proxy it works fine. Probably due to the menu reorganisation, something must have been overlooked.

Yes, i tried download v1.08 from website and outcome was still same. Without proxy i cant connect at all and with proxy, its freezes now.
Was working fine even with v 1.07b, but 1.08 refuses check anything.

Kaldran is looking into it tonight, he has an idea what broke. And good thing someone else uses a proxy so I'm not the only reason I made Kaldran add proxy support in the first place. ;)

DNS-name updater.pala.de is broken .. so it won't find the update-server.

Strangely enough it's now it's replying :) ,, but the updater is not working.

With ip: 80.xx.xx.x is not working with the update, cannot connect
With ip: 85.xxx.xx.xxx it is working ..

I connected with and without a proxy, there was no difference with it. Hopefully you can get it fixed :)
I yust tried it from another machine on another location(IP) ... There it yust works :confused:

Nice race condition on this one. If the thread downloading the files is faster than the one setting the proxy environment variables the updater throws an exception because it can not connect to its server. Should be fixed now by making sure the proxy thread is finished before downloading anything. Since I can not test proxy support right now I am not sure though :P
