I am currently not at home to check that (yay Opera mini :p), but the server is constantly monitored and I did not get noticed of any outages yet. Guess you are experiencing some routing hickups somewhere in your connection...

gm9 11-03-2007 05:00 AM

The last server restart was 8 days 4 hours 10 min 53 s ago. ;)

It may just have been overloaded or cycling logs at the time you tried, or your Internet connection is bad. If you care about some statistics, since we started providing the updater in late September, it had to work quite hard for you guys:

PS: Hi Kaldran. ;)

wierd. ahhh well it was working :(

this just started happening recently, ever since that last patch (was it). I'll run it like 12 times and it will work maybe 1nce.

My net connection is working good and hasn't changed and same with my router problems.

tknarr 11-03-2007 07:25 PM

Huh. No problems with it for me. Well, except for one that turned out to be my router box needing rebooting 'cause it was losing track of NAT mappings.

dragowulf 11-03-2007 07:37 PM

I might have to reboot the router, so that's what I'm doing right now.

dragowulf 11-03-2007 08:00 PM

THREAD CLOSED. I fixed.

Kaldran and gm9, I recommend putting more than just "cannot connect, please change your network settings or try again later". You should also include something like "If Problems persist, try restarting you network router"

Kaldran 11-04-2007 09:46 AM

Actually it says 'Please check your network settings' which I think includes cycling power :P
There are so many things that can lead to a broken connection that it is not useful to put them all into the popup...
