Group Window addon (and suggestions)

The one thing I disliked about the group window was all the little, hidden onclick zones. When I click on someone's name (or number) I expect to be targeting them, not assisting.

With 4.1 it was pretty easy to remove this. For those that aren't XML or UI mod savvy, I just uploaded the default 4.1 group window without the three hidden links kick, assist and follow.

4.1 is great. All the other mods to Profit I had been working on or planning got rolled into the release. The only suggestions I have now are:
* Make this group window part of the release :)
* Don't show raid/group buttons for macros that don't exist. This group window is borderline cluttered already and some classes don't need all 5 (or even 3.)
* Let us put custom icons instead of numbered buttons. 16x16 is pretty small but you can get meaningful icons out of them. Easier and almost as effective would be to allow customization of what goes on the button (so letters could be used) in the QuickRaidButtons text file.

Thanks a bunch for such a useful UI mod and all the hard work put into it.

If I add it (and I may) then as part of the windowsettings of the existing windows so it is optional. I'm not ever going to add 4 new variants just for this. ;)

That is how I originally announced I was going to do it. Was no priority yet though, but will be added eventually.

Reasonably only existing spell icons would be chosen. For the few people that will be able to figure out how to reference those I don't think it is worth the effort.

I'll think about it..

This is what I meant to say. Since it adds another dimension to the horizontal/verticle and big/small group windows there's only so many options you can offer in a zip. If I'm the only one that click-targets frantically, I can live with hot-modding this file on any updates.

I played around with this yesterday to see what it would be like. It was more effort than I imagined adding class-dependant icons. Not only that but even 16x16 looked a little cramped without spacing between them. Especially when, with a Fury for example, all your icons will be a hand on an orange background. While it might help me, I'm not really your average user, and the buttons are probably a cleaner and more efficient way to go for this.

Not gonna stop tinkering though. ;)

I always used the F-Keys exclusively but people do it differently.
