Error when launching Everquest2.exe from the Updater
After the update, I selected Everquest2.exe as the executable to launch after the update. When it attempts to launch though, I get the following error.
"The options definition file failed to load. This generally indicates that your patch was corrupted for some reason. Try a complete scan, and if that doesn't help then you may need to reinstall." 1. I was under the impression that it already did a complete scan when it started. If not, I don't see how to make it do this. 2. I decided to try re-installing so I searched for uninstall instructions but couldn't find any. Did I miss them somewhere? To uninstall, do you simply delete the files? I don't want to mess things up here worse than they are so I'll wait to hear from someone. Everything was working fine until that update to the updater ran today. Thanks in advance. Nialith |
Actually this message is from Everquest II. I can reproduce that and currently looking for a solution....

Seems like I forgot to specify the working directory for the launched file. I will set it to the directory the file resides in. Expect an update soon(tm)

Ah, it didn't occur to me that would be an EQ message. Thanks for the quick response.
