Image not showing up in game but fine in UI Builder..
Ok hopefully this is the last question I am going to have for today...
I am trying to convert a UI that I used in EQ1 over to EQ2 and I cannot get the image that works fine in the builder to show up in game...I have included some screenshots to show what is happening. Thanks again, TyeJae |
Since you just posted about TGAs, I'm assuming that youre using them
if so, it's because the TGA is compressed. EQ only supports uncompressed Tgas. Take just a couple of seconds to search and you'd come up with something very useful... http://www.eq2interface.com/forums/showthread.php?t=605 I mean heck, its even named "Image in tga format showing up in UIBuilder but not in game ?" |
I am using Photoshop 7 and when I save the image as a .tga file I leave the box Compress unchecked right? That is what I have been doing...
I saw that thread btw that is how I knew to save them uncompressed... TyeJae |
Don't know whats happening then. But if you're using PS, it much easier just to use the DDS files, you can save right from photoshop if you visit the following post and download the plugin. Download the one he links to first, not the one thats attached, unless you have problems.

I downloaded those plugins and I could not figure out how to save as .dds still lol. Oh well...but what I did figure out why I was getting the blank picture in game. It was because my SourceResource = hotkeys and it needed to be SourceResource = hotkeys.tga

that'll do it :D
To save as dds, it should be in the list with all the other formats, then when you hit save it should go to another window and will only allow you to save it if its a power of 2: 128,128 256,256 512,512 1024,1024 and so on |
