Oh, then no. I'm sure that would violate eula.

No one has made an EQ2 model viewer yet which is suprising. Model Viewers are pretty kool for making videos and comics. I've used the UO one and the WoW one before to do stuff like that. Fun stuff.

I'm pretty sure it goes against the license agreement

Perhaps. But I don't foresee them actually doing anything unless it's used in some threatening or commercial way. I know where the files are... they're in the .vpks, and they're .draw files (for the wireframes) and .hit for the collision, I think.

I don't even want to see them with the textures, I just want the vertexes and edges...

Do you need bones? I think it would be pretty hard to pose the characters without them.

truly I do not see how it would violate the EULA because you are not changing the game in anyway to your benefit. All we are doing is looking at the pictures and stuff that are already there...

The joys of having the model viewer is to make your char. look the way you want them too... its easy to load it up and browse the armor and then write it down and go find it... ooh well I think this is going to be another in-game MP3 issue where we will never get any results =)

There was one for EQ and even a Zone viewer. Nothing was ever said to my knowledge negatively about them programs.

It really boils down to your personal interpretation of the EULA, as there is zero way they can tell you use such a program.

No one really knows how to extract data from the .vpk files I don't think, so that is one reason you do not see such application.

Yeah folks know how to extract the .vpk files... theres a thread somewhere on here where someone has a tool that'll do it (plus I also know someone who coded one up to extract .vpks). Thats how I know theres .draw and .hit files.

As for the other quote... I'm more interested in objects, not people so much. People would be much more complex as it's not just some static object with a fixed frame, armor moves and changes and scales.
