loading ui settings from different toon
For me this doesn't seem to work anymore.
If I make a new character, I get the box with all the settings listed, and all the settings for every char I have had, but I select an existing char, and it uses the profit default. Then, if I type /loadui, I get default, something related to EQ2 maps, and profit, then one other option, thats it. No resolution picks, nothing. When I picked the profit default, it used 1600x1200. The last time I had made a new char, I had no problems (about 3 weeks ago). I made a new char this Sunday, and had these results. I hadn't updated profit since then. Sunday, I loaded the auto updater to see if that would fix it and no joy. The UIs on my other characters were fine, didn't change at all. At work right now, so can't go into any more detail. |
/load_uisettings is probably the command you're looking for if I got your problem right, where you want to load one chars ui-layout to another char.

Note: /load_uisettings copies the chat channel subscriptions as well as the UI layout. This can cause problems if the source toon is subscribed to channels the target toon doesn't have permission to subscribe to. It results in channels that are in your subscription list and occupying channel numbers but that you can't use and can't unsubscribe from. I advise having the source toon unsubscribe from all chat channels before you copy their UI settings.

If you have this problem, eq2interface has a couple of programs in their tools or utilities section that let you easily edit any toon to delete, add, renumber chat channels, and a number of other usefull things.
