unable to modify ProfitUI

it seems each time I try to modify it I end up with the default skin, I can't even use my old version because it did the same thing to that. This occured after the maintenence was done, I do hope there's a way to fix this :(

Would help if you told us what you try to modify...

Erm, LoginData, Bookmarks, Tradeskill window and pet window. Although personally I think it does that regardless to what you try to modify.

Well either you do it wrong or your editor is not UTF compliant. It sounds like you would have the same problems with any UI.

I have found that the UI Builder doesn't work with many windows, such as the Guild window. If you save certain window with the UI Builder it will cause the window to not display correctly or to revert back to the default, even if you don't many any changes what so ever.

Try using the UI Builder for visual purposes but make all of your changes via Notepad or Notepad++ (highly recommended). This will preserve the UTF aspect of the file.

Notepad breaks UTF encoding in some cases.

Yeah, thats what I was using, could you recommend a different, preferably free, program to me?

::UPDATE::

Nevermind, I've found a different method. Instead of patching/replacing the file, I've found that simply editing the file with OpenOffice worked for the .txt, hopefully I'll get a similar effect from editing the .xml files as well. However, this does not fix the issue at large, it just fixes mine for the time being.

PS: I'm not using any UI builder >_>

I recommend Notepad++ with the XML plug-in. It has a lot of nice features for working with XML files.

It works for me :)

Thats pretty awesome, thanks.

::UPDATED::

Problem found and fixed. Seems "Bookmarks" are a bit funny about how you place them, heh. I accidently missed the "href" tag which is what screwed the entire UI O_o;

SOLVED

Please close this thread or remove it, I no longer require comments or assistance, thanks
