Game Locks Up Computer with ANY UI
 

I have returned to EQ2 after a 7 month absence. i am glad to be back BUT
i still dont like the default UI that comes with the game.

I loaded up EQ2MAP UI and SEVERAL different complete sets.. when i try to use any of them, even just the maps.. the game locks up in approx 20 mins. :(

just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or if its just me

Try playing the game without any custom UI. If the problem still happens you'll need to get help in the eq2forums.

try installing EQ2 to another hard drive, one that your windows isn't on. Had this problem with WoW when I was still playing it or when I tried to play FEAR. The hard drive couldn't handle the load i was throwing at it. I use drive C for windows and main componets. I use drive F for games, music and video files. Maybe that wil fix your issue. Also If you have a laptop Install game to an external HD can work to just takes longer for game to load but will keep comp from crashing. Maybe you could post your comp's specs so we can see if it is some other issue
