GU38, do I need to prepare?

With GU38 due this week and changes to some UI Windows (Appearance tabs etc) will I need to do anything to my Profit to get it to work?

I have not been able to get my appearance tabs to work on test but that may be a local issue.

I had a look around but could not find anything. Any word on a new version of this great UI for GU38?

I didn't have any issues with ProfitUI Reborn on test, mater of fact I was able to play with all 4 top UI on test in their current state.

I'm sorry but I will not be on time with a new release for GU38, sorry about that. :(

The UI probably works after GU38, but new features such as appearance slots are not supported yet. I will make a news post on my portal page later today with information on what to delete to take full advantage of GU38.

so far..the only file that needs deletion is eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml for GU 38.

Everything else appears stable and operational.

lol not even gonna bother with it, the stuff I wear right now looks good enough :)

Let me be a little clearer .... I wasnt even able to get into game till i deleted the file. As soon as the character tried to load, I would get a crash to desktop. So.. while deleting that file will infact allow the use of the default inventory with the appearence tab, perhaps more importantly, it will allow you to get IN the game.

With all the patches Test has had thrust upon it of late, your experience with the roll out of LU38 may go easier than Test Servers... then again, it might not

Don't know if this is a big *Don't Do* or not...

...so go easy on me if it is.

I've made a few tweaks to the inventory window that should make it work with GU38.

Don't know if it will work for everyone but it looks ok on my system.

Hope this helps a little.

Erm... oops.

Just noticed that I managed to break the bags in that file. It's fixed now so if you have the old one that can't drag or click inventory bags then just redownload from the same link.

Sorry bout that.

I'm pretty much done with the inventory now (the tinting is probably a bit strong, might tone it down). Coming to a download location near you soon:

Nice.

Your design definitely looks better than my little band aid approach.

I hope it didn't offend you that I posted that. I figured that a quick fix of the existing design was a little more elegant that letting the inventory window from the default UI sit there and take up half of people's screens. (that thing is huge)

One quick suggestion though. Sony seems to have deprecated the attunement warning since they did drop a "Visible=False" into the <text> tag for that object. This may be related to the fact that it is exceedingly difficult to equip unattuned items now. So it may be best to add your own "Visible=False" in case they ever change their minds about that, or just drop that object entirely.

Thanks for all the hard work you've put into this project. I, and I'm sure many others, appreciate what you've given here.

No, I don't feel offended at all, I'm happy about all contributions, even though in this case I ignored it because I had already decided on a design idea.

Thanks also for the heads up with the attunement warning which is visible in the screenshots. I have since made it default to invisible. :)
