Profit UI Self Installer

Created this today.

Ver 1.0

Based off of Profit UI version v3.4.8b.
Includes Backdrops for Persona Window.
Allows user to use default install or choose the installation path.

Ver 1.1

EQ2.ini file is now overwritten if it already exists in the Everquest II folder.
If installing over a existing Profit UI install the old files will now be updated.

Installation is very easy. Just down load the above file. Unzip it and run the installer. If you have Everquest II installed in a differant directory just browse to it.

After the installer runs launch Everquest II.
NOTE: If you already are running EQ2 Maps you will need to repatch so it downloads the EQ2map files to your ProfitUI folder.

Once in game all of your windows are gonna be crazy all over the place.

Type /load_uisettings

You should get a window that pops up with a bunch of files in it.

Pick the ProfitUI_Best resolution that fits your screen ( Example: ProfitUI_1280x1024_eq2_uisettings.ini)

Once you pick your resolution file BAM your using profit.

I have included all the orginal profit files there are some parts of this mod you may not like such as the BANK window and the INVENTORY windows. They are pretty damn small.

If thats the case just go to your everquest II folder. Then go to the UI folder and then ProfitUI folder.

Look for the following files and delete them:

eq2ui_inventory_bank.xml
eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml

This will return those two files back to the default UI.

Crombie Crunch
70 Berserker
Venekor ~ Dauntless

Orcinus Orca
67 Coercer
Venekor ~ Dauntless

Nice work

I have created one as well using old extremeUI install source code. With this said you may want to look at two things in the installer you made.

1) Double check the eq2.ini part it did not change mine on install to point to profit.
2) May wat to put in a check for the eq2.exe file for the screen to install to so that people will have to install it in the correct location.

But all that aside, nice work!! Let me know if I can be any help... My big stopper so far has been an auto-update system maybe you have some source or ideas for me? :nana:

Good work, seems ur installer does in startup search for eq2 game directory. can take some time as in my computer with multiple partitions and so on :p so i'd skip the search if i'd be you. and let the user define the game directory instead.

apart from that good work :)
