Request: Compact 'Text at the top'
 

OK, i'm not sure what to call this particular ui 'bit'

But is it possible to shrink/resize/turn into a little strip of text etc, the text that appears at the top of the EQ window when you enter a town, complete a quest, 'ding' a quest item etc etc

All too often it appears when i'm trying to click on something, but at the same time I don't want to get rid of it altogether.

Would be much better if it was a strip of small font text I could move to the bottom of the screen somewhere

Anybody got any ideas?

That should be the eq2ui_mainhud_onscreenmessage.xml window. You can move it pretty much anywhere so it hasn't been in the way for me at the top of the screen.

I know that it's moveable, but it's too big to put anywhere other than it's current location at the top.

I was looking to see if anybody knows of a mod or was willing to create a mob so that it was no higher than a single line of text and of a font smaller than normal.

Hmmm... now you mention it...
or just make the text resizeable... like the hotbar icons are set up for... cuz there will probably be a lot of different meanings of how big the text should be...

but i agree... the window is all to big...
