Mini Map that Runs Outside of the Windowed App?
 

I run a dual monitor system. I'd very much like to know about a program that would allow me to keep the mini-map up outside of the game application.

Ideally, I'd like the game to run on monitor 1, and the map to run on monitor 2. This way, I can easily view the map without it taking up precious space on the interface!

Is there a program that does this, or a mod for EQ2MAP that allows this?

I've searched the forums, but there's a lot of information out there. It's difficult to sort through.

Something that can filter the information for the map to another program window would be idea if it is at all possible.

Alot of us have dual monitors now, and it would be useful to use the second monitor for something other then web browser and chat when in EQ2.

EQ2 doesnt support dual monitors thus it's windows can not exist out side of the main game window.

No there isn't any application out there that will allow this and if there was it would break the EULA.

I agree it would be nice to be able to this but until SOE implements it, it just can't be done.

Breaks the EULA. That's what I feared. I know it is doable. It would involve basically sniffing out certain elements of the game, and mirroring them in an external application.

...Think, "Tapping a phone line." - At least that was the way it was explained to me.

I want to make it clear that I'm NOT condoning breaking EULA, TOS, or other acronyms...
