Countdown timer

Hey all,

as with all these post, let me utter those immortal words....

I don't know if this is possible but......

would it be possible to create a timer that is spell triggered, that displays a count down on screen? For example, I have a root spell with 15 second break on it. I want to cast, and this start the countdown on screen, so I know when to recast, leaving my underdeveloped mind free to spam my DOTs:)

Your thoughts are appreciated!

Are you using any UI mods now, like a maintained effect window mod? A lot of them have the time remaining for spells with a duration.

similar thing, but needed for non-maintained spells. i realise that a root may break at any time, but an indication of how long is left would be wonderful. perhaps point it to the maintained effects of the mob?

The non maintained spell effect window does this already with many UI mods. I think the other user mispoke as per what window referencing to. My window for instance does show x.xx (min.sec) left on a spell I have cast ie: root. The maintained also does this, however more in the tooltip rather than constant visual display like the non maintained effects window does.

Yes, I was talking about the maintained spells window (ALT-M). That is the only window that has DynamicData available to show remaining time. The spell effects window (ALT-E) doesn't have this kind of DynamicData.

This is how my maintained spells window looks:

ah, yes, misread myself:) the Maintained window does exactly what i wanted! Thanks for the advice:nana:
