Active Quest Window Keeps Hiding

Hi,

I'm having an issue, with just one character, where the Active Quest window is hidden when I log in and then will re-hide every time I open the Quest Journal Window. Of course, I can get it back by using Alt-J, that that is growing tiresome.

I am using ProfitUI Reborn on two other characters and have never seen the issue.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like it could be a corrupt charater INI file for that Toon. If so it is easy to find out run the command /load_uisettings from the troubled Toon and select a settings file from someone that has not seen that problem. Good luck. :nana:

Also, make sure that the Quest Helper box is checked in the Quest Journal.

There is also a checkbox in options (Alt-O) to keep main windows visible - that option would affect the quest helper as well.

It's not the Keep HUD Windows Visible Setting

Just an update... I ran across another post that mentioned the Keep HUD Windows Visible checkbox. I thought perhaps that was unchecked somehow. Not the case. I explicitly unchecked and then re-checked it and it was still happening.

I will try copying the character ini file from one of my other toons, though. Hopefully that will do it...

Thanks for the input!

Figured it out

So, it turns out that it was that the Quest Helper had become unselected. The odd thing was that the checkbox also seemed to be greyed out, such that I could not re-select it at first. However, after toggling through the tabs on the Quest Journal and back to the tab where you can enable the Quest Helper, it was again enabled and I was able to re-select it. All now appears to be well.

Thanks for the input!

Thanks for seeing this through H and naturally many thanks GM9. I was having the same issue.

Cheers from India!
