Error
After downloading various changes to default UI I got forced to make a default1 UI folder as everytime I logged in the EQ2 updater would overwrite those changes. Since I did that I cannot use EQ2Maps ... this is the error I get everytime.
Unknown Error: mscorlib at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode) at WindowsApplication7.Form1.GetFileMD5(String FilePath) at WindowsApplication7.Form1.DownloadExtras() at WindowsApplication7.Form1.DoUpdates() at WindowsApplication7.Form1.Timer3_Tick(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\Custom\images\maps\map_fprt_adv01_sunken.dds' is denied. Any ideas how to fix? |
Is your custom UI folder default1 or Custom? Look at the options page in eq2map.

Yes it was default1 ... didn't work. Tried Custom and now CustomUI all with the same error

Error
What files was eq2 maps overwriting in your customUI? I have been using eq2 maps for a very long time and I use a custom map xml and custom icons. I have the setting in eq2 maps set to ask before overwriting the mainhud_map.xml so I never have a problem. As far as your error goes I would try re-updating eq2 maps with the above setting set so it does not overwrite your file. Make sure the path to your custom ui is correct in eq2 maps as well. If all else fails try deleting all the eq2 maps files from your ui and reinstall everything. Make sure you do not have your UI or Everquest folders protected as eq2 maps needs to be able to access them to make changes. Aside from that you will need to explain a bit more as to what you changed or did to cause the error. Specifically that is. Good luck, hope this helps.
