Recent threads on front page not updating
Since the revamp the recent threads on the front page are not updating in real-time anymore (not sure about the actual time-frame), I always have to click the "Recent Threads" links above that to see new posts.
|
This seems to be working fine for me; I just posted in a thread and used the "Home" link at the top left to go back to the front page. The thread I posted in had been moved to the top of the "Recent Threads" list, and it wasn't bold since I viewed the thread after I posted.

Hmm, must be some proxy caching issue somewhere along the line then.

Tried it with two different ISPs now however and front page was out of date on both. /shrugs

Some recent threads from certain forums aren't displayed on the front page including threads from this forum. I no longer use no-cache headers as to reduce the load on the server. This tells your browser that its ok to cache this page but I havent experienced a problem with it not updating the page on my roadrunner isp or my cingular 3G isp. What happens when you know the content is out of date and you do a CNTRL - F5 on your end to force a refresh?

It's probably the no-show forums then. I'll pay attention to it. It's not a browser cache issue in any case, first thing I checked of course. No biggy in any case since the "recent threads" work fine.
