Is this impossible?
Would it be possible to add a sort of winamp addon to EQ2 so that ingame I can browse and select which files to play? I know some people might say, "Just play in windowed mode." I hate windowed mode. :(

Come on guys he is new give him some slack.
To be honest curse4444 there isnt anything with decent function and there isnt much motivation for one since you can easily move in and out of EQ2 and run your favorite mp3 software. You can search our forums on the term "mp3" and get even more of an idea. There are many keyboards out there now that have buttons that allow you to control your music. The Logitech G15 even has a LCD display of your current song. |
I know its not what you were originally asking about but...
Yes the Logitech G15 is an awesome keyboard. I bought 3 myself (Work, Wife, and Home) The display not only shows you what song is playing but you can also skip songs, play/pause, and control volume. Not to mention all the other cool stuff that comes with it and which interfaces with it. ACT Advanced Combat Tracker is a very useful tool that is used for tracking DPS among many other things in game and it interfaces with the G15 as well. I highly recommend it. :) |
Well I can already change songs and such with the global hotkeys that winamp is. The problem is I don't want to have to switch to windowed mode and choose another playlist after the one I'm on gets boring heh.

A bit old i know, but i bumped into this thread by accident (quick search seems to show this as the latest one on this topic)
One thing you can do is install a web-control plug in for winamp then access it via the ingame browser. Gave it a try, quick google search gave me Ajaxamp - installed, configured, tried it - lo and behold it does what you want. There was some incompatibilities with the browser but i could load play lists, pause, skip etc. happily (jumping between tracks in a play list didn't work). http://animemaho.com/xebec/eq2webmp3.jpg There are plenty of such plug ins out there so a bit of searching will likely turn up something more suitable - heck writing one tailored to the eq2browser wouldn't be that bad. (apologies if someone has already pointed this out, didn't see any threads related to it - but i could have searched deeper) |
