Crashing to desktop when attempting to open map
 

After a server crash a couple days ago I am no longer able to open EQ2Maps UI. I crash to the desktop every time I hit the M button....

Any suggestions? I tried doing a full scan of all game files but it didn't help.

I don't see why a server crash would cause that to happen (unless, you're referring to a crash on your side (i.e. a server of your own, and not a game server)).

Nevertheless, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling EQ2Map?

After the server came back up, the entire UI was corupt. It would not give me an option to change it to anything but default by typing /loadui. I tried to redownload and reinstall teh EQ2maps UI but it didn't appear to actually download and the update didn't do anything...SO I don't know where to go from here..

Your UI settings file may be corrupted. The file server_character_eq2_uisettings.ini has all the placements of your windows and which chat channels you're in. Temporarily move this somewhere else or throw it in the Recycle Bin.

Try playing like that. All your window positions will be messed up but if your map seems to work you can use the command /load_uisettings to copy the settings from another character.
