Sound Device Shuts Off
 

Thank you so much for providing this wonderful tool. I cannot imagine trying to play EQ2 without it.

Here is a problem I am currently experiencing. I could not find it under any of the links or search feature, but then again, nothing is perfect.

When I go through EQ2 Maps Updater, the sound quits with EQ2 and I cannot turn it on in the EQ2 options. There are simply no options to choose from under the sound category.

I quit out and took a look at the control panel. Under sound, there was nothing there. I went to device manager, chose my sound card and the sound came back. I then tried starting EQ2 without going through EQ2 Maps Updater and the sound worked.

I did restart the machine a few times to try to see if it would work. The machine would have sound, but then evertime I tried going through EQ2 Maps Updater, it all got wiped again.

So, I uninstalled EQ2 Maps and reinstalled it and tried again. The same problem happened.

Will I need to uninstall EQ2 and EQ2 Maps and Microsoft NET and start all over or what?
