Requesting "clean" interface
 

Hiyas, im a vet eq1 player, and a kinda new eq2 player now.

As i see it the community lacks some of the more clean UI's, ive scanned the complete UIs here and cant find anyone that i like.. and i know others agree as ive talked about this ingame :)

What i would like to see someone make is a minimalistic UI, containing all info u need (no statbars, no fancy gfx around the edges of windows) which prolly would be exp and maybe resistance stats.

Bags with no background. small hotbars. chat while zoning. chat windows would have some kinda green tint or something to the back making them easy to read.

Point is, there is alot of ppl not wanting a fancy UI , but something minimalistic and usefull. Its the game u look at , not the UI itself (i can agree that it plays a small part tho :p )

Anyways, this is only a wish/request, i know eq2 is still young and i also know these interfaces will find their way here someday.. Just figured id let ya'll know how I want a UI to be.. :)

What we realy need is Lodi Dodi to make a EQ2 UI for us :) but i dunno if he is even playing EQ2 or not , so until then i guess we either wait or try and learn a bit of DIY lol

define clean? bags with no background are available, as are smaller hotbuttons, all the fancy window trim can be removed in window settings (so can backgrounds and frames), you can even add a semi transparent black tint. and chatting while zoning is out there too.

If you have something specific in mind, do a mockup of what you want. I'm all about cleanness.

Insomniac, I feel the same as Nemo. I don't need a bunch of fancy borders and what have ya. I like your layout. What files are you using and what screen resolution are you running.

If you want to pick and choose stuff:
Active Quest Window in 12 Point
Compact vert. group window
3/4ths hotbar with no bank selector (actually somebody's tweaked version, i forget who's tho :o )
Scrollbarless Chat Window
Insom's Stat Strip
Insom's Simple Player Window
and not pictured but i use dogvomit's Quest Journal Window Mod too

the experience bar, compass, and buff windows i made but didnt release ( i suppose i should). for the clock type: /show_window Mainhud.Clock (match the caps exactly or it wont work) attached is my ini to get everything lined up, and my current ui, if you're lazy. the unreleased stuff is in there, just be warned its usually unreleased for a reason (sloppy, bugs, ect)

I had to leave for the army again so im currently having a hard time getting online, and not to mention playing eq2 :(

Wish i had some time, and a computer with photoshop and i would make a small sketch of my "ultimate" UI.

Ill try to describe some tho.

3 chat windows at bottom, bg color should be greenish. Easy to read font.

Target window with % on hp. (targets target would also rock, but dont think this is doable?)

Exp window without artisan exp and with one digit % (unless 2 digit works..)
(rightclick to change to artisan exp)

Making compass show loc all the time.

Think thats about it.. These are all small changes, for a complete custom minimalistic UI i would like the small borders on windows to be blueish, dark, nothing fancy. Maybe some lines cutting the monotony... Uhm im bad at explaining.. :p

Hope this helps some.. Wish i was home and abit more uptodate here but im not :(

The TabletsII ui is very good.

Plain gray gfx are default but he has included other colours (like green you mentioned)

Hes just put out a new beta with fixes a few nigley little bugs.

Im very happy with the way my UI is looking.. dont conisder it too cluttered although i have too many damn skills i need to use so i need 3hotbars befor i even think about crafting!

P.S. If your replying his UI looks like the reply dialog a bit i think :)
